July 6 started out like many of the last few days... Mom and Dad were here; Joe was off work. We went for a 3 mile brisk walk around Lake Padden. We played with Ely in her new kiddie pool.
We took a picture just in case this was the day!
40 weeks and 1 day
I had an afternoon appointment with my OB, where she suggested that it could be any time, and that things looked good! We ate dinner and went for another walk (I think we had walked about 8 miles in the previous 2 days!). We played with Ely on the playground by our house- I even went down the slide! haha! In front of our neighbor's house on the way back home, I felt a little something- my first contraction and my water breaking! It was about 7:05 PM.
We finally went to the hospital at 12:30 AM, and Titus was born at 1:26 AM! I'm sure glad we went when we did! Things progressed MUCH faster than any of us expected!
Just minutes after being born!
Titus was 7 pounds 3 ounces, 20 1/4 inches, with lots of dark brown hair!
Proud Parents
We had to wait until morning to introduce him to Ely. She was a little unsure and kept saying "baby sad" when he cried, but quickly got used to him!

WOW!! Congratulations! It was fun reading about your day with Ely leading up to meeting Titus! Have fun with your new little family!
Congrats you guys! It's hard to believe that just one year ago we were still in Ethiopia together picking up our first kiddos. Never would've believed that in such a short time, we'd both become parents for the 2nd time. God is good! Enjoy baby Titus. We are sooo happy for you guys. :)
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Your baby boy is adorable!! Your daughter is going to make a perfect "Big Sister! Such a wonderful blessing... Praise God..
